The Performance Lab at Governors Island Art Fair 

Free and open to the public September 7 – 29, 2013 11am-6pm

The Performance Lab is located on the ground floor of building 5a on Nolan Park. View map here.

 

During each day of the fair, you will find a different artist occuping this space. It will feature a variety of arts who are pushing boundaries of an existing perfomance form or creating other otherwise experimental work, including but not limited to music, dance, theater, social practice. The Performance Lab does not require that final works be presented, artists are encouraged to use the space as a place to host a workshop, experiment, rehearsal or retreat.

 

You are invited to observe, engage, participate, play, discuss, learn with us!

 

 

Governors Island Art Fair is organized by 4heads, a New York-based arts organization that specializes in developing unique environments for the purposes of exhibition, education and artistic creation.  4heads’ programs are tailored to serve the under-resourced, attracting hidden culture and fostering community through collaborative expression.
