Panoply Performance Laboratory (PPL) are drawn to the situation of the Performance Lab at Governors Island Art Fair and will respond to the situation via their current work with Lindsey Drury, Any Size Mirror is a Dictator. Performance will be relational and include performative dealings with all conditions such as acoustics, characteristics of the site, public interactivity and spectation, and interrelated/subjective conceptual context. These dealings confront, collude with, and attempt to totally control fragments of text, systemic choreography, and interpretable meanings. Artists will perform durationally from 1-6, involving Butch Merigoni, Lindsey Drury, Esther Neff, Matthew Stephen Smith, Paige Fredlund, and others.
